Bellaire grad Wells scores 25 points for The Citadel
Bellaire grad Cameron Wells scored 25 points on Wednesday to help snap The Citadel's three-game losing streak.
The 6-foot, 1-inch senior guard, averaging 19.5 points a game, helped close out the game by combining with a teammate to make five free throws in a 71-63 win over High Point. Wells was 12 of 13 from the free-throw line for the game.
A 2007 graduate of Bellaire High School, Wells played under Coach Bruce Glover. He was named All-District and All-Star MVP, averaging 16.5 points and 7.0 assists per game, helping Bellaire High to three district championships in the Jaycee Tournament.
He is the son of Elaine and Ronald Wells.
