Bellaire alum scores 17 points for The Citadel
Bellaire alum Cameron Wells posted 17 points in The Citadel's loss to James Madison on Sunday.
Despite the loss, Wells hit two three-pointers. A 6-foot, 1-inch senior guard, Wells is averaging 17.7 points per game with a 40.4 field goal percentage, as well as 3.3 rebounds and 3.7 assists per game.
Wells is the son of Elaine and Ronald Wells. He's a 2007 graduate of Bellaire High School and played under Coach Bruce Glover. He was named All-District and All-Star MVP, averaging 16.5 points and 7.0 assists per game, helping Bellaire High to three district championships in the Jaycee Tournament.
