Parker student plays homeless advocate in new film
Parker Elementary student Chandler Canterbury has been cast in a new film by Rudy director David Anspaugh called Little Red Wagon.
The new movie is based on the story of Zach Bonner. As a 6-year-old in 2004, he collected 27 pickup trucks worth of supplies in his wagon to help neighbors hit by Hurricane Charlie.
Now 12, Bonner has raised more than $1 million and has begun "March Across America" to raise awareness of the plight of homeless children.
Previously, Canterbury appeared in The Curious Case of Benjamin Button, playing the title role at the age of 8 before Brad Pitt takes over the role.
Canterbury lives in Westbury with his parents, Kristine and Rusty.
