Boy Scout Troop to name three new Eagle Scouts
published May. 11, 2012
Three Boy Scouts from Troop 1190 will be awarded the rank of Eagle Scout at 1 p.m. Sunday, May 13 at Congregation Emanu El, located at 1500 Sunset Blvd.
Jonathon Vincent, Mitch Chaiet and Stephen Glombicki will be recognized at the Eagle Court of Honor for their accomplishments in their troop, their service to the community and their outstanding leadership.
To achieve the rank of Eagle Scout, these Boy Scouts were required to plan, lead and execute a community service project.
For his Eagle Project, Jonathan designed and built a pigeon aviary for the Audubon Society's Sims Bayou Nature preserve. Mitch designed and built four rolling utility shelves for Depelchin Children's Center. Stephen assembled educational planter boxes and a rain irrigation system for the Beth Yeshurun preschoolers.
The ceremony honoring these three new Eagle Scouts will be led by scoutmaster Wayne Vincent, adviser Peter Christie and committee chairman Richard Stanley.
This event is sponsored by Congregation Emanu El's Brotherhood.
