Evelyn's Park dedication in Bellaire

published Jun. 26, 2011

Bellaire residents and city leaders gathered on June 25 for a ceremony to mark the dedication of the future home of Evelyn's Park. In 2009, Jerry and Maury Rubenstein, of Bellaire acquired the 5-acre historic site of Bellaire’s first business, Teas Nursery, and donated the land to the city of Bellaire on behalf of the Jerry and Maury Rubenstein Foundation. The land was donated on the condition that it is developed for park and recreational purposes. The park will be named in honor of Jerry and Maury Rubenstein’s mother, Evelyn.
