Brian David Friday went 0 for 2 and was walked once in the Indianapolis Indians's 5-3 loss at the Pawtucket Redsocks on Thursday. Friday graduated from Bellaire Episcopal High School.

A 2004 graduate of Bellaire Episcopal, Friday accepted a baseball scholarship at Rice University. He played three seasons (2005 to 2007) for the Owls ending his college career with a .327 batting average, 55 doubles, 40 stolen bases and 98 RBIs. Friday was selected by the Pittsburgh Pirates in the third round (98th overall) of the 2007 Major League Baseball draft. He quickly advanced through the Pirates' system making it to Triple-A Indianapolis of the International League early in the 2010 season, his second full year of professional baseball. A Houston man is facing a class a misdemeanor charge of driving while intoxicated with a blood alcohol content more than .15 after being arrested on June 8, the Harris County Sheriff's Office reported. Pedro Beltran Batalla arrested on charges of indecency child and failure to comply as a sex offender
