Pro Baseball: Brian David Friday, Indianapolis Indians

Brian David Friday went 1 for 1 with one RBI in the Indianapolis Indians's 2-0 loss to the Rochester Red Wings on Thursday. Friday graduated from Bellaire Episcopal High School.

A 2004 graduate of Bellaire Episcopal, Friday accepted a baseball scholarship at Rice University. He played three seasons (2005 to 2007) for the Owls ending his college career with a .327 batting average, 55 doubles, 40 stolen bases and 98 RBIs. Friday was selected by the Pittsburgh Pirates in the third round (98th overall) of the 2007 Major League Baseball draft. He quickly advanced through the Pirates' system making it to Triple-A Indianapolis of the International League early in the 2010 season, his second full year of professional baseball. Houston Police Department collision call log, June 13

The Houston Police Department received 116 calls reporting collisions on June 13. These included the following nearby incidents:

A minor accident causing a disturbance was reported at 4850 Westpark Road A at 11:06 a.m. Houston police were dispatched at 11:18 a.m. and arrived at 11:34 a.m. It took until 12:25 p.m. to clear the collision. The incident number is 075105812.

A non-fatal major collision was reported at 9200 Chimney Rock Road at 1:30 p.m. Houston police were dispatched at 1:33 p.m. and arrived at 1:42 p.m. It took until 7:14 p.m. to clear the collision. The incident number is 075157412.

At 8:12 p.m., a minor accident causing a disturbance was reported at 11240 Fondren Road S. Houston police arrived at 7:28 p.m. The collision was cleared by 9:29 p.m. The incident number is 075287512.
