The Houston Police Department reported the following nearby crimes on June 30:

An incident involving theft was reported at 2:50 a.m. in the in the 8500 block of West Lp South.

At 3 a.m., a theft was reported in the in the 8500 block of West Lp South.

At 9:35 a.m., an incident involving theft was reported in the in the 5400 block of Chimney Rock Road.

An incident involving robbery was reported at 10:15 a.m. in the in the 5500 block of El Camino Del Rey.

At 4 p.m., a robbery was reported in the in the 9600 block of Fondren Road.

An incident involving auto theft was reported at 8 p.m. in the in the 6100 block of Chimney Rock Road.

The Houston Police Department received 72 calls reporting collisions on June 30. These included the following nearby incidents:

At 8:12 p.m., a minor collision involving a person who failed to stop and a give information was reported at 5900 Willowbend Blvd. Houston police arrived at 3:15 a.m. The collision was cleared by 3:26 a.m. The incident number is 082711612.

A non-fatal major collision was reported at 6700 Renwick Lane at 2 p.m. Houston police were dispatched at 2:03 p.m. and arrived at 2:09 p.m. It took until 2:57 p.m. to clear the collision. The incident number is 082862412.

At 8:12 p.m., a minor collision was reported at 6700 Renwick. The collision was cleared by 2:46 p.m. The incident number is 082862712.

A minor collision involving a person who failed to stop and a give information was reported at 5700 Hummingbird at 7:42 p.m. Houston police were dispatched at 8:14 p.m. and arrived at 8:24 p.m. It took until 9:58 p.m. to clear the collision. The incident number is 082975612.

A minor collision involving a person who failed to stop and a give information was reported at 6700 Renwick Road at 10:30 p.m. Houston police were dispatched at 11:23 p.m. and arrived at 11:44 p.m. It took until 12:04 a.m. to clear the collision. The incident number is 083040712.

Michael Martinez released

Michael Martinez was released from custody, according to the Harris County Sheriff's Office. A bond of $10,000 was set for Mr. Martinez, who is listed as living at 6310 Dumfries in Houston (77096). Martinez was reportedly arrested on one charge of injury to an elderly person causing serious bodily injury. Read more...

Jose Guadalupe Amaro arrested on charges of failure to stop and give information and assault causing bodily injury

Jose Guadalupe Amaro was arrested on charges of failure to stop and give information and assault causing bodily injury on June 30, the Harris County Sheriff's Office reported. Amaro, a 39-year-old white male, was booked at the Harris County Jail on July 1 and is facing class B misdemeanor and class a misdemeanor charges. He resides at 5901 Glenmont. Read more...
