College Baseball: Jeremy Schaffer, Tulane University
Jeremy Schaffer went 1 for 3 in Tulane University's 10-0 loss to Marshall on Thursday. Schaffer graduated from High School in 2008.
Schaffer is a 2008 graduate of Bellaire High School following a career as a four-year letterman on the baseball diamond for coach Rocky Manuel. As a senior, 2007-2008, he was an all-state and all-district honoree while helping lead Bellaire to a Region 3 title as he batted .404 with eight home runs and 40 RBIs. Schaffer was picked to play in the Texas State 5A-4A all-star game. As a junior, 2006-2007, he slugged 12 homers and drove in 58 runs to collect all-state and all-district recognition. Schaffer was also an all-district selection after his sophomore season, 2005-2006. He finished his high school career with 22 home runs. The son of Jack and Suzy Schaffer, he is a business major.
